Summer Art Camp 2010

Local Color Art Studio is launching its own Summer Art Program for children, with a tweaking here and there, with the same emphasis on a quality art education that we adhere to throughout the School Year.

2010 Class Offerings

Mosaics for all ages

Mosaic art has been created since ancient times. Join the movement! Once you accomplish your first piece, you will have the know how to mosaic any and everything. Each participant will leave with a stepping stone that should last forever. Come to our creative sessions alone or bring your child to create family heirlooms together(afternoon only). Mosaics in the mornings are for the youngsters through teens. Afternoons are for adults with their children.

Pottery for all ages

These classes will be two weeks in length to allow proper time for drying, firing and glazing of the ceramic pieces. We will indulge in various hand building techniques and throw on the wheel. Utilitarian and decorative pieces will be brought home by the close of class. The second week, we will glaze the previous weeks pieces and experiment with different clays that do not have to be fired in the kiln. Morning and afternoosessions will be for youngsters and teens.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition: Full tuition refunds are available for cancellation up to 2 week prior to first class where there will then be a $25 cancellation fee. All materials and supplies are included in the summer tuition fee. You will receive an acknowledgement by letter or phone of check receipt and a confirmation letter as soon as a class has enough students to open (4). If a class does not open because of low enrollment, we will let you know ASAP and you will receive a full tuition refund.
